Opening Geovo for the first time on Mac and Windows
macOS or Windows may ask you to confirm before opening Geovo the first time. Here's exactly what to click: Open Anyway on Mac, Run anyway on Windows.
Geovo isn't signed with a paid Apple or Microsoft certificate yet, so your computer asks you to confirm the first time you open it. You only do this once per update.
Mac
- Open the downloaded file and drag Geovo into Applications.
- Open Geovo. If macOS says it can't verify the app, click Done (not Move to Trash).
- Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway next to Geovo.
- Confirm with Open Anyway and your Mac password. From now on, Geovo opens normally.
Windows
- Run the installer.
- If you see "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
- Install Apple Mobile Device Support if you haven't: it comes with Apple's iTunes installer from apple.com (not the Microsoft Store version).
Is it safe?
Geovo never uploads your locations, and your Apple ID goes only to Apple. The warning is about the missing paid certificate, not about the app.
