Will Geovo work on my iPhone?
Geovo works on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, from a Mac or a Windows PC. Below is exactly what has been tested on real hardware and what is supported but not verified yet. Current version: 0.3.0.

"Verified on hardware" means tested by the developer on a real device, as of October 2026. User reports: fewer than 10 reports per version = not enough data, so we don't publish success rates yet.
Requirements
- iPhone or iPad
- iOS / iPadOS 17 or later, with Developer Mode turned on (Geovo shows you how)
- Mac
- macOS 13 Ventura or later. Separate builds for Apple Silicon and Intel
- Windows
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), with Apple's iPhone driver: install iTunes from apple.com
- Apple ID
- A free Apple ID, used to install the iPhone app (it goes straight to Apple and is never stored)
- Cable
- A USB cable for the first setup. Renewing can also work over Wi-Fi afterwards (new in 0.3.0)
- Without a computer
- The free LocalDevVPN app from the App Store
Not supported: Android. Geovo changes GPS only, not your IP address. Setup steps: set up your iPhone.

Frequently asked questions
- Which iPhones does Geovo work with?
- Any iPhone or iPad on iOS 17 or later. It has been verified on hardware with an iPhone on iOS 26.6.1, from both Mac and Windows. iPad (since 0.2.0) and iOS 27 are supported but not yet verified on hardware.
- Does Geovo work on iOS 27?
- It's supported: Geovo uses Apple's newer developer disk image method that iOS 27 needs. It hasn't been verified on real hardware yet, and there aren't 10 user reports for it yet. You can try it free for 30 minutes a day.
- Which Macs and PCs are supported?
- Macs on macOS 13 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel builds), and Windows 10 or 11 PCs with Apple's iPhone driver, which comes with iTunes from apple.com.
- How can I report whether it works on my device?
- Email support@geovo.app with your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, computer and Geovo version, and whether it worked. Or use Report a problem in the app.
