What's new in Geovo
One version number covers Mac, Windows and the iPhone app. The computer app updates itself (it checks when it opens and every few hours) and then offers to update the iPhone app. Newest first.
0.3.0Current
- More realistic driving: Drive here follows each road's typical speed, with Calm, Normal and Lively styles on the computer.
- While driving, a trip bar shows the distance and time left. Pause and Resume, or change the speed mid-trip and carry on from where you are (computer and iPhone).
- Routes with several stops: choose how long to wait at each stop, from 30 seconds to an hour. On iPhone, set one wait for every stop, or use the waits from a saved trip.
- Saved trips: save a route and run it again later, on the computer and the iPhone.
- Send to iPhone: Favorites › Send to iPhone copies your favorite places and saved trips from the computer into Geovo on the iPhone, over the USB cable. Nothing goes over the internet.
- Renew over Wi-Fi: after the first install by cable, Renew also works over Wi-Fi. It needs Finder's "Show this iPhone when on Wi-Fi" (Mac) or iTunes / Apple Devices Wi-Fi sync (Windows), both on the same Wi-Fi, and the iPhone unlocked.
- A reminder email the day before the iPhone app needs renewing, if you're signed in (turn it off in Settings › Account). The in-app reminders 2 days and 12 hours before stay.
- Try Geovo for 10 minutes without an account. After that, a free account gets 30 minutes every day.
- Paste coordinates or a Google Maps or Apple Maps link into search, on the computer and the iPhone.
- Satellite view on the Mac, on Apple Maps (the iPhone app already had it).
- A Fix it button on error messages: it re-checks the setup and reconnects.
- A Get started checklist on the computer for new users.
0.2.1
- Drive settings on Mac, Windows and iPhone: speed (auto, or a fixed 30, 50, 80 or 110 km/h), what happens when you arrive (stop, drive back, or loop), pausing at turns, and GPS drift.
- Drive speeds are shown in mph by default, with a mph / km/h switch in the drive menu.
- The iPhone-app button on the computer works out by itself whether to install, update or renew the app, or tells you it's up to date.
- A short "What's new" card appears once after each update.
- The upgrade screen shows the new $11.99 monthly price.

- If the app quit while simulating, it notices the leftover location and offers Return to Real Location.
- The iPhone setup guide became swipeable cards, one step per card.
0.1.2
- A guided first-run setup on iPhone, and a "Finish on your iPhone" guide on the computer (Developer Mode is detected automatically).
- Report a problem from the app, straight to support.
0.1.1
- Pro works on 2 computers and 2 iPhones, with a "Use Pro here" button to move it between devices.
